Sendy Mendez

Biography

Singer, Song Writer and Percussionist who has been performing in the Carolinas for the past 12 years.  His first love has always been dancing salsa and merengue which he's enjoyed for over 20 years.  Born and raised in Puerto Rico, he graduated college with a major in Accounting and was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Army. He served 6 years before being medically retired from the service with the rank of Captain. Sendy now works in the accounting field.

Sendy lives in Charlotte and is the proud father of Anthony and Josephine. One of the things that he enjoys very

much is working in cultural events for the Latin Community throughout the Carolinas.

Some of his accomplishments are listed below. ~ Sang the National Anthem for the Charlotte Knights baseball team. ~ He was Judge and MC for the first Latin Dance competition in Charlotte. ~ Presented Celia Cruz during her last performance in Charlotte. ~ Latin percussion workshops for students from elementary through college. ~ Performed at the Largest Latin Festival in NC,
